<description>The Ravens allowed the Bengals to score on their first three series and couldn't recover from the early deficit as they lost to Cincinnati for the second time this season. The 17-7 defeat dropped the Ravens' record to 4-4, two games behind the first-place Bengals (6-2) in the AFC North.

I t was a day packed with official events for Mayor Sheila Dixon: approving millions of dollars in contracts at a Board of Estimates meeting, holding a news conference to urge parents to vaccinate their children against swine flu , pushing health care reform at a town hall meeting, surprising a Baltimore school with a visit, even playing bingo at a senior center that she had fought to keep open.

<description>A woman was found dead in a Reisterstown apartment fire Saturday afternoon, Baltimore County fire officials said. The woman, who had not been identified, was found during a search of the second floor of a building in the 100 block of Ewing Drive that housed four apartments, said Fire Director Kyrle Preis III. The cause of the fire and the woman's death were under investigation. The first alarm sounded about 1:30 p.m. and a second 20 minutes later. Fifty firefighters and 12 pieces of equipment from the Franklin, Reisterstown, Garrison, Owings Mills, Glyndon and Pikesville stations fought the blaze, which badly damaged the first and second floors and the attic. The fire was brought under control in about an hour.

<description>A Virginia Military Institute freshman from Howard County died Saturday after completing a 10-mile road march, VMI officials said. John Alexander Evans, 19, of Highland, collapsed in his room after completing the training march Saturday with members of his class. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital shortly after noon, officials said. Evans was an international studies major and member of the Marine Corps ROTC program. The medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
